WHY CCCS?
CCCS provides a Christ-centered, traditional education for children in preschool through 12th grade. Organized in 1979 as a ministry of Pike Grace Brethren Church, CCCS has grown to become an effective educational tool for Christian parents from area churches who desire an excellent academic education for their children in a Christ-centered environment. In the past 28 years, the school has grown from 14 students to just under 120 students. CCCS will graduate an average of ten students per class for the next several years. A few highlights about the school:
- Our great student to teacher ratio! At an average of 9 students to every one teacher, each student receives individual attention.
- Our limited class size! Preschool is limited to 10 students per class. Kindergarten is limited to 18 students per class. Other grades are limited to 25 students per class. CCCS currently does not have a waiting list for any class.
- Our excellent test scores! CCCS uses the Stanford 10 standardized test which is typical for a private, Christian school. CCCS does not teach "towards the test" as many public schools do, but our students typically score at least one grade above their current grade level. All of our 2007 graduates are attending some form of post-secondary education.
- Our accreditation! CCCS has been a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International since 1984. This international Christian school organization hosts and organizes many events in which CCCS participates: Math Olympics, speech meets, and spelling bees to name a few. CCCS is also pursuing ACSI's STAR program which will provide further accreditation. Once the school has reached an enrollment of at least 150 students, Middle States (Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools) accreditation will also be pursued.
- Our faculty! Faculty members are committed Christians who consider their teaching as a service to the Lord. Each maintains a clear Christian testimony, praying daily for their students and encouraging them to live lives pleasing to the Lord. CCCS requires all faculty members to be state certified and encourages ACSI certification.
