TRANSPORTATION
The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires the board of directors in any school district to provide, out of their funds of the district, free and equal transportation to any resident pupil to and from the Kindergarten, Elementary, and Jr./Sr. High School in which he/she is lawfully enrolled, provided that the school is located within the district boundaries or outside the district boundaries not exceeding ten miles by the nearest public highway (Sec. 1361 24 PA 13-1361).

Districts currently required to bus students to CCCS are as follows:

1. Blacklick Valley
2. Central Cambria
3. Conemaugh Valley
4. Ferndale
5. Forest Hills
6. Greater Johnstown
7. Northern Cambria
8. Penn Cambria
9. Penns Manor
10. Richland Township
11. United

We also have students attending CCCS from Cambria Heights, Bedford, and Windber. We experience varying degrees of cooperation from the various districts concerning transportation. Each situation must be worked out individually. Parents should make the initial contact with the transportation coordinator of their particular district. If any transportation problems arise, parents should contact CCCS for assistance.
